Hamilton Bulldogs Game 7 History

Dustin Boyd scored the overtime winner six seconds into the third extra frame to end the AHL’s longest Game 7 in its 75-year history. The Hamilton Bulldogs defeated the Manitoba Moose 2-1 in a time span of three hours and fifty-one minutes. Dustin Boyd plays hero for the Habs farm team a player who was acquired in a trade that sent Sergei Kostitsyn to Nashville.

The Bulldogs had a whopping 56 shots on net through the whole game prior to the goal. Drew MacIntyre made 29 saves on the 30 shots he faced while Nigel Dawes scored the game tying goal with 6:24 left in the third period.

The Bulldogs will now have to wait until tonight to figure out who they will be playing in the Conference Finals. It will either be the Milwaukee Admirals or the Houston Aeros.
