Lovin’ the 2-0 series lead

Carey Price once again out plays Tim Thomas in a 3-1 victory over the Boston Bruins in game 2 of the playoff series.

The Habs played another unbelievable solid defensive game that really frustrated the Bruins and especially Claude Julien who was going nuts on the bench at times. Mike Cammalleri opened the scoring at 00:43 of the first period off a rebound by a Wisniewski shot. Just 1:37 later Mathieu Darche added to that 1 goal lead off a quick pass by Cammalleri. In the second period the Bruins had many chances and finally Patrice Bergeron recived a pass from Marchand and tip-in a goal by a helpless Carey Price. The Habs did not kick back the lawn chairs just yet as Yannick Weber potted his 2nd career playoff goal (both against the Bruins) off a similar rebound goal that Cammalleri scored earlier. The Habs also ended up out shooting the Bruins in the second by a 15-9 shot count in a period were the Bruins had most of the zone time. In the third the Canadiens just plugged up the neutral zone and got the Bruins very frustrated with their defensive game that held the Boston Bruins off the score sheet for the second straight game in the third despite killing off a early penalty and a crucial penalty mid-way through the period.

The Canadiens will head home with a very well desrved 2 game edge on the Bruins.
