Montreal’s Brian Gionta played a huge roll in the 2-0 victory over Boston potting both of the Canadiens goals.
Also Carey Price played tremendous in a 31 save shutout that made some critics now truly understand why the Habs kept Price instead of Halak, and silenced most of their pre-game comments.
As for Scott Gomez, well that 7.5m looks like it really paid off last night, on both goals by Gio, Gomez forced turnovers and does what he does best and that was dishing the puck to guess who? Gionta of course.
The whole team played an excellent five-man unit on every shift collapsing and coming back into the play. It seemed that no matter where there was a Bruin there had to be a Hab very close by. Another solid game from Hal Gill and his shot blocking at key times, Brent Sopel had some huge shot blocks, P.K played very well made the right plays when needed, The Wiz really brought his game to another level and for the two veterans who displayed some very good poise and strength at times.
Next game Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 7:00pm at TD Garden.
Let’s play another solid game boys!
